unifo.co.il — Unifo document-merging software

Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what information is collected when you use the Unifo software and website, how it is stored, and what your rights are. We comply with Israel's Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981 and its regulations, as well as the EU GDPR.

1. Document processing — local only

Unifo's document-merging engine runs entirely locally on your computer. The files you load (images, Office documents, PDFs) are never uploaded, stored, or transmitted to our servers or any third party. Temporary files are created in your system's temp directory and deleted automatically when each operation completes.

2. Information collected for licensing

To validate your license and enforce the permitted number of installations, the software sends the following to our license server on each launch:

• A random installation identifier — a unique ID (UUID) generated randomly on first launch. It has no connection to your hardware, identity, or files, and is used only to count the number of active devices under your license and to manage the trial period.
• Your license key and the application version.
• IP address — recorded in the server's validation log. IP addresses are retained for up to 90 days only and are then deleted automatically.

3. Download analytics

When you download the software from our download site, statistical information is recorded: a hashed IP address, browser type, and approximate country/city. This is used for general download statistics only.

4. Payments and invoices

Subscription purchases are processed through an external Israeli payment and invoicing provider (iCount). Credit-card details are provided directly to the payment provider and are not stored by us. To issue your license and invoice, we store your name and email address. A tax invoice/receipt is issued for every payment as required by law.

5. Third parties (data processors)

• Cloudflare — hosting of installer files and license-server services.
• iCount — payment processing, invoice issuance, and emailing your receipt.
• Google — Google Analytics and Google Ads, for website traffic measurement and advertising performance on the marketing site.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

6. Cookies & analytics

Our marketing website (unifo.co.il) uses Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Ads to measure site traffic and the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns. These tools set cookies and collect statistical information such as pages viewed, referral source, and device type. This data is used only to improve the site and measure advertising — it never includes the content of your documents.

The Unifo application itself contains no tracking or analytics — document processing remains fully local, as described in section 1.

You can block cookies via your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

7. Your rights

Under the Protection of Privacy Law and the GDPR, you have the right to access the information stored about you, correct it, and request its deletion. To exercise these rights or for any privacy question, contact us at info@unifo.co.il.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be published on this page, with an updated revision date.
